Dr Ritesh Chatrapati

Ritesh is a clinical specialist haematologist and provides both clinical and laboratory haematology services to patients across Brisbane.

He has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of malignant and non-malignant haematological disorders, including leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, stem cell transplantation, bleeding disorders and thrombosis.

Ritesh graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India, in 2003. Before commencing his haematology training, he undertook physician training in the UK and Australia.

He holds a dual fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). He is a member of the Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group (ALLG), the American Society of Haematology (ASH), and the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ).

Ritesh is a strong advocate for holistic, patient-centric care. His treatment approach focuses on bringing together a multidisciplinary clinical team to map out a care plan, while communicating closely with each patient and their family to ensure this plan meets their health needs and goals. Ritesh is also passionate about haematology research. He regularly connects with regional and national experts to provide his patients with access to new clinical trials. Along with caring for patients of the QLD HAEM HUB, Ritesh is a member of the Brisbane Blood Specialists team based at Greenslopes Private Hospital.
